Reinstalling Windows via USB is the most reliable way to remove all traces, logs, and hidden identifiers that can lead to an instant re-ban. Here’s a simple and safe walkthrough.

Important: Do not use “Reset this PC” inside Windows. That method does not remove all logs or registry data and is not safe for HWID unbans. Always do a clean reinstall using a USB stick.

✅ Why Reinstall Windows? #

Many anti-cheat systems scan your system beyond just hardware IDs. They look for leftover:

  • Game logs
  • Cheat tool files
  • Registry entries
  • Crash dumps
  • Launchers or anti-cheat traces

Most “cleaners” miss hidden files or registry keys. A fresh Windows install guarantees a clean environment.

🔧 What You Need Before You Start #

  • USB stick (at least 8GB)
  • Another PC or device to create the installer
  • Windows 10 or 11 ISO (from official Microsoft site)
  • Your game activation/account info (back it up)

Important: Back up personal files. Everything on the system drive will be deleted.

🧰 How to Create a Bootable Windows USB Stick #

  1. Go to: https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows10 (or /windows11)
  2. Download the Media Creation Tool
  3. Plug in your USB stick (8GB+)
  4. Run the tool and follow these steps:
    • Select “Create installation media for another PC”
    • Choose version/language
    • Select USB drive as target
  5. Let it create the bootable stick

🚀 How to Reinstall Windows (Clean Install) #

  1. Plug in the USB stick into your banned PC
  2. Restart the PC and enter BIOS/UEFI (usually F2, F12, Del, or Esc)
  3. Set the USB stick as the first boot option
  4. Save changes and restart
  5. Windows installer will start

In the installer: #

  • Select language > Click Next > Click Install Now
  • Choose “Custom: Install Windows only (advanced)”
  • Format the main system partition (usually C:) — this will erase all data
  • Select the partition and continue with installation

Important: Don’t choose “Upgrade” — it keeps old data and defeats the purpose

  • Set up your new user profile
  • Skip login with Microsoft account if you want full local control
