The metal chest plate and Metal Facemask are a dynamic duo that offers the best protection in the late game. This piece of armor protects your body and significantly reduces damage from direct attacks from the front and back.
While it has slightly less protection than the heavy armor, it certainly leaves you with more mobility for raids and PVP.

Roadsign Kilt
While the Roadsign Kilt is a mid-tier armor, it offers the best balance of leg protection and mobility. We don’t have a metal leg armor so the Roadsign Kilt is currently the best available leg piece. You can usually find it in Basic Crates and Military Crates. I always find one when running Dome and Oil Rig.

The Hoodie and Pants combo offers the best protection in terms of clothing. The Hoodie protects the chest and arms while the Pants protect your legs. They are quite easy to craft as you only need a few sewing kits and cloth. But they offer useful minimal melee, explosion, radiation and bullet protection.

Why would you need it when enemies aren’t even aiming for your hands, right? While the gloves may seem insignificant, they are one of the cornerstones of the strongest kit in Rust. Gloves don’t actually protect hands but protect your body.
But its most important feature is it decreases the sway when you shoot, significantly increasing your accuracy. You can craft this item or buy it in the vending machine at Outpost for 80 Scraps.
