How to Check My MMR in LoL?

You can’t check your MMR directly through the League of Legends client. That’s why we built StealthCore LoL MMR Checker Tool – a simple solution for checking your MMR instantly. Just enter your Riot ID, select your region, and our tool analyzes your Normal, ARAM, and Ranked games to calculate your true MMR rating.

LoL MMR – What is it?

MMR (Match Making Ratio) is a hidden number that controls your LP gains in League of Legends. This behind-the-scenes rating determines how much you lose/win LP after each match.

High MMR results in LP gains above 25 per win, while low MMR limits gains to under 15 LP. The system uses MMR to place you where it thinks you belong. For example, if you’re in Emerald 1 but gaining minimal LP, the system believes your true skill level is closer to Emerald 4. Conversely, if you’re in Gold 2 but gaining large amounts of LP, the system thinks you deserve to be ranked higher and helps you climb faster.

What is LP in LoL?

LP (League Points) measures your progress within each rank division. The system awards or deducts LP after every match based on your MMR:

Diamond IV – 50 LP means you’ve won approximately two games in Diamond 4 and need another 50 points to reach Diamond III. Your MMR status – whether high, low, or average – determines exactly how many points you’ll gain or lose per match.

What’s the Difference Between MMR and LP?

LP (League Points) is the visible ranking system in your League client. You need 100 LP to advance to the next rank. MMR operates invisibly behind the scenes, controlling how much LP you gain or lose per match. While LP shows your current rank progress, MMR determines whether the system will help boost or slow down your climb through the ranks.

How Our LoL MMR Tool Works

Our tool analyzes your MMR by going through your match history across Normal, ARAM, and Ranked games and then determines your MMR for each playlist. It compares your rank against the rankings of players you’ve matched with. When you consistently play with higher-ranked players, it indicates a high MMR and shows you deserve to climb. If you’re matching with lower-ranked players, it signals a low MMR and suggests you may need to improve to maintain your current rank.

How to Fix My MMR?

You can fix low MMR through consistent winning streaks or by duoing with high MMR players. Both methods boost your hidden rating and stabilize your LP gains. Winning streaks show the system you belong in a higher rank while playing with high MMR duo partners exposes you to stronger competition and boosts your MMR growth.

But if you want to skip the hassle, you can purchase ranked-ready accounts with fresh MMR that will help you reach your desired rank easily without worrying too much about fixing your MMR in your current account.

How to Reset MMR in League of Legends

To reset your MMR completely, stay inactive in the specific queue for an entire season. For ranked MMR reset, avoid playing both Flex and Solo Queue matches during the season and stick with ARAM or Normal games. This inactivity triggers a full MMR reset when the new season begins.

You can also change your account region which costs 2600 RP for a one-way transfer, doing so resets your rank and MMR, but make sure to check what does and doesn’t transfer through regions.

What Are the Ranks in League of Legends?

There are 10 ranks in League of Legends, each one is divided into 4 divisions (IV, III, II, I) except Master, Grandmaster, and Challenger

  • Iron
  • Bronze
  • Silver
  • Gold
  • Platinum
  • Emerald
  • Diamond
  • Master
  • Grandmaster
  • Challenger

Competition gets tougher the higher you climb, but it becomes less common. Out of all ranks, Silver & Gold has the most players in it.
