Escape From Tarkov 0.15 Patch Notes

One of the most anticipated updates in Escape from Tarkov has officially come out!

Escape From Tarkov 0.15 Patch Notes introduce new bosses, weapons, and new graphics enhancements, appealing to both visual and gameplay preferences. It’s an update that focuses on a few areas to improve the experience as a whole. In this article, we will discuss the major improvements that are coming with this exciting update.

Highlights of Escape From Tarkov 0.15 Patch Notes

The Battlestate Games has released an exciting trailer that gives us a sneak peek at what’s coming. A fierce new boss named Partisan is ready to test your skills, as a highlight.

The update brings a new weapon to experiment with, along with a fresh look at the reworked factory map, plus many more. Escape from Tarkov Patch 0.15 is indeed packed with surprises waiting to be explored.

Factory Map Rework

The Factory map has gotten a big rework in Escape from Tarkov’s 0.15 patch. You’ll notice that every room, from the plant to the basements, has been completely redesigned while keeping the original layout.

The spaces feel cleaner and more accessible, with expanded areas and new outdoor sections to explore. AI behavior has also been improved, making encounters more dynamic.

Plus, new tasks and loot locations have been added. If you loved Factory before, these changes will make it even better for your next raid.

New Boss: The Partisan

A new boss called the Partisan, he’s a combat veteran obsessed with traps and stealth. He targets players with low karma, hunting them down relentlessly, regardless of whether they’re PMCs or scavs.

The Partisan prefers to set traps and use grenades before engaging in combat, making encounters intense and strategic. Although he operates quietly, he can track players over long distances.

His presence adds a new layer of challenge, especially in outdoor maps like Woods, and players will need to stay alert when facing him.

The Karma

Karma is a hot topic in Escape from Tarkov, and the new system adds a hidden Karma parameter that changes based on your actions. If you play fairly, your Karma goes up; if you cheat or act dishonestly, it goes down. You’ll hear a sound cue for both positive and negative actions.

Players should be able to play how they want, whether that’s camping or sneaking around. But if negative Karma makes it impossible to fight back against new bosses or enemies, that could really hurt the game.

Marathon

The Escape from Tarkov 0.15 patch introduces an exciting new event called the Marathon. During this event, players can travel between maps, but only in PvP mode. To use the transit system, players must enter a specific zone seven minutes into the raid.

You can move items to your stash for a fee during this time. There’s an achievement for visiting all locations in one raid, but it feels like it’s mainly for those seeking a challenge or quick rewards.

Tripwires

The new tripwire feature in Escape from Tarkov adds a layer of strategy to the game. You’ll need a special trip wire installation kit to set it up, which you can buy after completing a quest.

Once you have it, you can switch to tripwire mode using the grenade in your hands.

The tripwires can be triggered by shooting or hitting them, but they don’t explode immediately. You can disarm them, especially faster if you have a multi-tool. While they can be useful, they also require some planning.

New Hideout Zones

EFT Patch 0.15 also introduces a new Hideout Zone featuring a Gear Rack that lets you manage your equipment more easily. This system works like the lockers in Rust, allowing you to set up multiple loadouts.

With three upgrade levels, each one adds a mannequin to display gear for your PMC. You can quickly swap items between your PMC and the mannequins.

There’s also a new Cultist Circle outside the Hideout where you can sacrifice up to five items. The total value of what you sacrifice will determine the quality of the rewards you receive, including items needed for tasks or Hideout upgrades.

If your sacrificed items meet certain value thresholds, you’ll have a 25% chance of getting what you need, like that elusive GPU for your farming part. While players who bought the special edition will get the circle instantly, the system offers a fun way to gather gear without grinding endlessly.

New Sound System

Sound changes in Escape from Tarkov have often been a source of frustration, but this time could be different. The new sound system aims to improve how you experience the game.

Sounds will come from different positions and their exposure angle has been adjusted to feel more realistic. You’ll notice various sound sources, like water flowing through pipes and rats scurrying in the vents, adding to the immersive atmosphere.

New Weapons

Patch 0.15 adds four exciting new weapons to Escape from Tarkov, each with customizable attachments.

1. IWI UZI Pro– A modern semi-auto pistol that is a compact version of the famous UZI submachine gun. It’s lighter, with advanced materials and a redesigned magazine release for easier handling. You can attach optics to the top rail and lights or lasers beneath the barrel, making it versatile for different situations.

2. SR-3M Compact Assault Rifle– This powerful rifle combines a small size with impressive firepower, using special armor-piercing ammo.

3. Desert Eagle L5– Known for its striking appearance, this hefty pistol packs a punch with its .50 caliber. While not the most practical choice for military use, it’s a choice for its unique design.

4. M60E4 Light Machine Gun– A more reliable version of the classic M60, this gun is designed for heavy fire support. It features a better trigger mechanism and can attach optics for improved targeting.

Also, you can now use bipods and weapon mounts to steady your weapon. Equip a bipod on a flat surface, or mount your gun on short walls to significantly reduce recoil and sway, making your shots more accurate. So, you can now get ready to experiment with these new weapons!

Conclusion
