EFT Lighthouse Map Guide: Spawns and Map Layout

Lighthouse is a massive map with a mix of coastal terrain, industrial zones, and forested areas. Players typically spawn in one of three regions:

Beach and Southern Spawns

These spawns are exposed and dangerous. If you start here, you’ll need to move quickly to avoid getting sniped. The coastline has some minor loot, but it’s best used as a route to safer areas.

Village and Northern Spawns

The village offers solid loot, including food, drinks, and valuable items like Bitcoins and Vertex spawns. However, it’s a high-traffic area. If you spawn here, moving toward the mountains can offer better positioning.

Road to Military Base Spawns

These spawns are closest to the Water Treatment Plant, where the Rogues are stationed. If you’re USEC, you can navigate the area more freely, but BEAR players will be shot on sight by the Rogues.

Key locations include:

• Lighthouse Island – Home to the Lightkeeper trader, but inaccessible until completing certain quests.
• Water Treatment Plant – Heavily guarded by Rogues, offering some of the best loot on the map.
• Chalets – These buildings contain rare tech items and high-value barter loot.
• Trainyard and Tunnel – Extraction areas that attract campers due to their strategic locations.

Major Loot Locations

Lighthouse is one of the most loot-heavy maps in Escape From Tarkov, but it’s also one of the riskiest. Here are the best places to find valuable loot:

Water Treatment Plant

The most lucrative location, but also the most dangerous. Rogues guard key buildings where high-tier loot, including military gear and rare barter items, can be found. If you manage to clear them out (or sneak past them), you’ll be rewarded with:

• High-value military loot like GPUs and Military Tubes.
• Rare barter items, including power banks and capacitors.
• Medical supplies and stims inside the central building. 

Chalets (Blue and Main Chalet)

• Main Chalet – A hot PvP area, but worth looting. It has Vertex spawns, gold items, and rare electronic parts.
• Blue Chalet – Once a prime loot spot, but loot spawns have been nerfed. Still, it has occasional Bitcoin and rare item spawns. 

Marin Car and Beachfront

• The Marin Car spawn sometimes contains high-tier loot like Bitcoins and Intel folders.
• The beachfront has scattered crates with tech loot but is a common ambush area for snipers. 

Trainyard and Helicopter Crash

• The Trainyard area contains valuable crafting items and stims.
• The helicopter crash site often has gold chains, medical loot, and rare barter items.

Key Extracts

Knowing where and when to extract is critical in Lighthouse, as many exits are risky. Here are the most important extractions:

• Southern Road Extract – A commonly used exit, but often camped. Watch for snipers near the rocks.
• Northern Checkpoint – Located at the end of the road, but surrounded by landmines.
• Mountain Pass (Red Rebel Extract) – Requires a Red Rebel and paracord, offering a quick escape for those with valuable loot.
• Path to Shoreline – A relatively safe extract, but be mindful of PvP in the area.
• Road to Military Base (V-Extract) – Has a car extract that allows players to leave safely, though it costs rubles.
• Armored Train Extract – Arrives around the 15-minute mark and leaves with around 7-8 minutes left in the raid. Many players fight for control of this extract, making it high-risk.
• Lighthouse Island Extract – Requires completing specific tasks to unlock. Once accessible, it offers high-tier loot but is one of the most dangerous extractions due to sniper threats. 

The Boss of Lighthouse: Rogues and The Goons

Instead of a single boss, Lighthouse features groups of Rogues led by The Goons, heavily armed ex-USEC mercenaries guarding the Water Treatment Plant. These AI enemies are lethal, with powerful weapons, mounted machine guns, and pinpoint accuracy.

How to Deal with Rogues

• USEC players have an advantage, as Rogues won’t attack on sight unless provoked. However, once engaged, they become hostile for the rest of the raid.
• BEAR players are immediately targeted, making a frontal assault nearly impossible.
• Sniping from a distance is the safest method for dealing with Rogues. Their AI struggles with long-range engagements, giving you the upper hand.
• Clearing them out requires methodical movement. Taking one Rogue at a time prevents you from being overwhelmed.

Survival Tips

Surviving Lighthouse requires patience and strategy. Here are some key tips:

1. Avoid High-Traffic Areas Early in the Raid

The EFT Lighthouse Map is full of hot zones where players rush to secure loot. If you spawn near the Chalets or Water Treatment, wait a few minutes before moving in.

2. Use Elevation to Your Advantage

Sniping is highly effective on Lighthouse. Use the rocks near the mountains or Water Treatment Plant for long-range engagements.

3. Watch Out for Snipers

Many players camp extract routes. Always check rooftops, hills, and vantage points before moving.

4. Learn the Faction Mechanics

• If you’re USEC, avoid shooting Rogues unless necessary.
• If you’re BEAR, stay away from the Water Treatment Plant or prepare for a fight.

5. Extract Wisely

• If you have valuable loot, prioritize safer extracts like Road to Military Base (car extract) or Path to Shoreline.
• If you’re on a quest, consider waiting until the late raid to extract when fewer players are around.
